Discover Coronado Advisory Board/Coronado Tourism Improvement District Special Meeting
The board agreed to increase funding for community development and potentially establish a joint “Discover Coronado, Chamber of Commerce Visitors Center” in response to the Coronado City Council’s concern that the board was not contributing enough to community projects.

The council approved a $10,000 loan to help fund the rehabilitation of the National City Park Apartments, a 450-unit complex for low and moderate-income residents that was originally constructed in 1968.

The City Center Business Improvement District board approved its strategic plan for next fiscal year, which focused on activating and raising visibility of downtown’s arts and creativity, and developing a design identity.
